About Kaixin

At the age of 6, Kaixin Dokter began her piano journey. She has studied at the Sweelinck Academie, Conservatorium van Amsterdam, under Marianne Boer. At the age of 12, Kaixin continued her musical studies at the UK’s largest specialist music school, Chetham’s School of Music, for two years. During this time, she received lessons from Kathryn Page and Dr. Murray McLachlan. Her dedication led her to receive the Piano Performance Diplomas ATCL and LTCL from Trinity College London.

Additionally, she has received masterclasses from Prof. Norma Fisher, Prof. Dina Parakhina, Prof. Kathryn Stott, Peter Donohoe CBE and Thomas Beijer, as well as private lessons with the UK’s leading educationalist, Paul Harris.

By the age of 9, she participated in the Haydn Competition in the Netherlands, where she won 1st prize and the Public Prize. During the Covid pandemic, Kaixin competed in several international online competitions, achieving remarkable success. These achievements include: 1st place at the XXVII International Chopin Festival in Mazovia, Poland; 2nd place at the E MusicMaestro Competition in the UK; and 4th place at the Paderewski Concours in the United States.

Achievements

Following her success in online competitions, Kaixin went on to compete in many prestigious events in which she was a finalist, including the Beethoven Competition and the Chopin Competition at Chetham’s School of Music, and the EPTA National Competition 2024, Category 15 & Under. She was also a prize winner of the Prinses Christina Competition 2025. In December 2025, Kaixin was invited to make her debut on national television with the program Podium Klassiek.

Kaixin is currently a pupil of Borys Fedorov at the Davidsbündler Music Academy in The Hague.
